I take this annoying addiction of making style more nutrient than Marc and I could possibly need. There are always lots of leftovers in the house. I don't know what possessed me to cook ii cups of rice the other dark, but once it was cooked it expanded to almost 5 cups. Marc and I love rice but 5 cups was only a ridiculous corporeality, so I wanted to effigy out a fun way to use upwards the residuum. My thoughts immediately went to beefiness arancini since I as well had a package of ground beefiness begging to be used in the freezer. Beef arancini is such a classic Italian manner of using up leftover rice and whatsoever other ingredients lying around. Not to mention that they are a smashing way to stretch ingredients in the virtually delicious packet!

First I cooked the incredible beef portion of the beef arancini. It was such a savory, flavorful mixture loaded with aromatics and seasoning. Once the beef browned completely, I took information technology off of the heat to cool.

While the beef cooled, I combined lots of freshly grated asiago cheese, parmesan cheese, dried oregano, salt, crushed blood-red pepper, a little marinara sauce and two eggs in a large mixing bowl. The cooled beef went in next, and then my massive amount of leftover rice. There was nix for it but to dive in with my hands and mix it all together thoroughly. That was all there was to making the filling of the beefiness arancini!

Information technology was and so fun rolling the beef arancini into perfect little balls! I made them almost the size of my palm and tried to go along them every bit uniform every bit possible. That fashion they cooked evenly.

I put the balls of rice mixture through a standard breading procedure side by side. First I set up a bowl of flour, then a bowl of egg launder. The terminal bowl was full of seasoned breadcrumbs. To keep things cleaner, I used 1 hand for the 2 dry stations and the other for dipping in the egg wash. Those gorgeous beef arancini fried in my hot canola oil in batches for just a few minutes!

I served them fresh out of the fryer then that they were actually hot and crispy. Oh my goodness, bitter into that crunchy exterior and and then getting to the tender, creamy interior was the most incredible sensation. There were then many layers of flavor from the beef and rice and they sang together in the almost beautiful way. I was a very happy woman. Dipping them into warmed upward marinara took them to an even college level. I promise you savor this classic Italian street nutrient! xoxo

FOR THE RICE MIXTURE

  • 1 dash olive oil
  • 1 whole onion peeled and diced small
  • 1 pound basis beef
  • 1 pinch hickory smoked sea salt
  • ane dash worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash Sriracha
  • i/two cup freshly grated asiago cheese
  • 1/ii cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • ii pinches kosher common salt
  • 2 pinches crushed cherry-red pepper
  • i i/2 tablespoons marinara sauce plus additional warmed up for dipping
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 3 ane/two cups cooked white rice

FOR THE BREADING

  • ane cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 whole eggs
  • one dash water
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • vegetable oil as needed for frying
  1. Rut the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Add together the onion and let it get fragrant for about ii minutes.
